The name "Stichpimpuli" is derived from some of its essential ingredients:Stichos (Greek for "large amount") refers here to a large quantity of herbal extracts.Pimpernelle (a herb also found in Goethe’s famous “Green Sauce”).Pulque (the sap of the agave plant).Additionally, it contains lovage and aloe, herbs well-known in kitchens. More unusual are privet bush and sea buckthorn. The herbal liqueur is rounded off with familiar ingredients such as rum, grain spirit (Korn), fenugreek, pine sap, and cherry.
