Over 30 finely balanced botanicals—mostly from our own cultivation and the surrounding region—combined with the finest Riesling grapes from the renowned Saarburger Rausch vineyard, guarantee an exceptional drinking experience.
The award-winning product range from the 200-year-old Avadis Distillery, infused with Riesling grapes from the 275-year-old Zilliken Estate, is named after Ferdinand Geltz, Royal Prussian District Forester and one of the historical co-founders of the VDP Mosel Saar Ruwer – one of Germany’s most prestigious wine-growing regions.
Carefully handpicked Riesling grapes from the Schiefer-Steillagen of the Saarburger Rausch vineyard, along with over 30 finely tuned botanicals, create a gin with a truly unique flavor profile.

The base for this gin liqueur is the traditional Friedrichs Dry Gin, which is distilled in Steinhagen over pure copper following a 250-year-old juniper tradition. The Friedrichs brand is still family-owned, with a long history of regional distilling and craftsmanship. The family business still uses the traditional juniper press to create particularly intense aromas. As a result, this is a genuine regional quality product with a long history and great love for the craft. The Friedrichs Gin Liqueur Grapefruit, with 31% alcohol by volume, is noticeably milder than regular gins or flavored gins. It is best enjoyed in the classic mix with tonic. Simply pour 4 cl of gin liqueur into a long drink glass filled with ice, top with tonic water, and you've got the Friedrichs Grapefruit Gin Tonic. By the way: with its lower alcohol content, Friedrichs Gin Liqueur can also be enjoyed wonderfully neat.
